Government recruitment exams are meant to be a pathway to stability and opportunity for lakhs of young aspirants. However, recurring allegations of irregularities — including paper leaks, result manipulation, and lack of transparency — have severely eroded trust in the system.
One such instance that raised serious concerns was the 2018 OMR result change case, where discrepancies in evaluation and result declaration pointed towards possible manipulation. For students investing years of preparation, such failures are not just administrative lapses — they directly impact livelihoods, mental health, and faith in public institutions.
Recognising the scale and seriousness of the issue, Team Parivartan initiated efforts to mobilise youth and bring attention to these patterns of irregularities.
Timeline of Action
Mobilising students and youth across Rajasthan through on-ground campaigns
Distributing satirical “job available” posters to highlight the 2018 OMR result manipulation concerns
Engaging with aspirant communities to document grievances and exam-related discrepancies
Initiating advanced data analysis efforts to identify patterns in results and recruitment processes
Building awareness around systemic issues in government examinations beyond isolated incidents
The Outcome
The campaign has contributed to bringing renewed public attention to the issue of examination integrity in Rajasthan. By combining on-ground mobilisation with data-driven inquiry, the movement has begun shifting the conversation from isolated allegations to systemic accountability.
At its core, the issue reflects a deeper imbalance — where the cost of institutional failure is borne by students, while accountability remains limited.
The movement continues to demand:
• Transparency in evaluation and result processes
• Independent investigation into reported irregularities
• Accountability of officials and bodies responsible for recruitment exams
• Structural reforms to restore trust in the system
